Vintage and Rustic – Lisa & James

In early August in the middle of Bedford the lovely Lisa and James got married. The ceremony and reception was held in The Berns Hotel. Lisa had arranged all the decorations herself and even hotel staff were overwhelmed with how she changed the place. In addition to cozy look the atmosphere was kept by guitarist Scott Russell. As the bride’s family is from China the couple had to greet their guests with Traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony. Which was a totally new experience for us. But the most amazing shots were done in the afternoon at the golden hour (7-8 p.m.) by the river. The sun helped to expose their love into the lens. Together with photographer Nicola Norton we have captured their memories.

Cristina & Aaron Wedding

The smiley Cristina & Aaron got married in London’s Romanian church. It was a truly Romanian – with Spanish spice – weddings as Aaron is from Spain. There was quite a lot of waiting around on the day, but from the speeches we have realized that the bride is very famous of  being late everywhere. The wedding reception was held in beautiful Hotel Russel London. It’s always so easy to film whole wedding in one location, especially in a hotel, once you have arrived there, don’t have to worry about getting to other places on time.

Wedding Style Shoot

Wedding planner Shola Adedayo have decided to rebrand her business. To celebrate that she had organized a wedding style photo shoot that had included all of her best suppliers. Our team Justina Rudé Video Production had an opportunity to film the behind the scenes video so it could be used on her website. It was a great pleasure to work with so many people dedicated to the wedding industry! The feel of the day was luxury, grand, big wedding. Also the second part of the day was dedicated to portray a traditional African Wedding look. You can spot it on the video from the fancy outfits and traditional dancing.

Everything was held in  The Hilton Hotel Tower Bridge where we had one huge room prepared specially for the photo shoot and also we could use any other facilities that they have, such as beautiful terrace and bright lobby. Models wore gorgeous Couture Bridal Gowns by Ian Stuart. For me the most memorable supply was the flowers! Every time we go to the venue I am amazed by the beauty of flowers. On the day it was made by Jens Jakobsen floral design. The location was decorated by Mary Yemi herself from Event Deco Hire. The main photographer of the day was Tai Adedayo from LovExposed Photography. The list of suppliers goes on. The Make Up artist Yalliz Beauty, tiaras and Jewellery from Sarah Roberts, second photographer Jhitch Photography, male wedding suites by A Suite That Fits, the cakes from Abigail Bloom Cake Company and TY Couture Cakes, bridal shoes by Freya Rose Designer Couture Bridal Shoes, African Jewelry by Taro Beads and Jewellery.

Wedding/Birthday Celebration

At the last weekend of May all-ready married Olivia and Peter celebrated their wedding for the second time as well as Olivia’s birthday. Now that’s a party! The couple got married four years ago, but wanted to share their love with the world again. The celebration happened in the magnificent Syon Park. They had a little spiritual ceremony with their friends’ blessings and then head off to the huge conservatory for the reception. It, have to say, was the biggest conservatory I had ever seen! It was so beautiful and magical, especially at the sun set.

Video is coming up soon!

The Large Celebration

At the end of May, We were filming the wedding for sweet Nimi and Pat. It was an Asian wedding and we were filming two out of four days of celebration. I have to say that this was the most traveled wedding we had so far. We had to split into two teams to be able to be there for the bride and the groom getting ready, and the distance between them was 2.30 hours drive. In total we have made 900 kilometers (!) – the groom’s team and 800 kilometers - the bride’s team.

Nonetheless, I have to call this wedding Grand. The dress, the car, the guests’ outfits, but the most of all the venue, were unforgettable. I have never seen such a big venue decorated so beautifully! The DJ stage was bigger than they have it at some concerts. It was sure a great fun to dance at the reception. Here are a few snaps of the venue to share with you.

Purple Silver Luxury Wedding

Beautiful Naomi and Shamil got married on the hottest day of summer 2013. The day was full of purple luxury! They arrived to the magnificent Wrest Park Silsoe with the Rolls Roys and Lamborgini, he was wearing Versace and she had 10 bridesmaids. The Wrest Park is part of English heritage and having the wedding there was an absolutely amazing idea. Naomi and Shamil had their ceremony in the manor house, followed with the photo shoot in the surrounding gardens. The reception atmosphere was magical as it was held in an old orangery.

Everyone sure had fun dancing to all sorts of music genres. The wedding was a mixture of Asian, Western and African wedding traditions, but the couple and the guests definitely found it entertaining.

Moldovian Wedding

In the beginning of March we filmed this beautiful wedding reception for lovely Alina and Radu. It was held in the London Stratford Town Hall. As the groom is from Moldavia, the wedding was full of their special greetings, games, dances and other traditions. Please take a moment to notice the cake. It was made as a gift by brides friend. Just imagine how good it was, as it was so personal. All of the food was great too and they were kind enough to supply us with a separate table full of delicacies. I am still looking for some of the recipes online, so I could enjoy those meals again.

To check out the beautiful pictures you can visit I. V. Photo website. Here is some our behind the scenes photos.

This is how the couple got their film delivered on DVD. We were trying to keep their white-golden theme while creating the DVD style. Our DVDs are always custom made for every couple.

Photography Workshop

A couple of weeks ago we had an opportunity to film a training course by lovely and extremely talented photographer Katie Julia. It was held somewhere near Cambridge in an amazing location. Katie managed to get this beautiful house, two couples, two models, dogs and a pony for this course. 8 people attended and had a chance to learn some of Katie’s techniques. Although it was a bit cold, models look amazing. Nice work, Claire Salter our make up artist and Twisted Willow Florist for beautiful flower supplies!

“Going for a walk in Autumn” or moving camera filming

Adding camera motion to your videos truly attracts your audience. But in order to move smoothly you have to practice a lot. In recent years I had a couple opportunities to try out few different stabilizers. Now have my own one Glide Gear DNA 5050 and I am very happy with it. Above you can see my little test with it on Sunday. Autumn is here!
